John Everett of Narrow Creek Stud says his choice among four lots consigned to the 2026 Bloodstock SA August Two-Year-Old Sale is Lot 185, a chestnut colt by Master Archie out of Sixtythree, by What A Winter.
Everett said: “This is only my second sales foal sired by Master Archie – the first one was also nice – and he is a lovely specimen from a mare who has already produced three promising winners from as many runners. His half-brothers are Late December and Trois Set Huit (both by Rafeef) and B Fifty Two (Lancaster Bomber), who won for the third time just a few weeks ago. I have high hopes for this two-year-old.”
There will be plenty of interest in Lot 103, a half-sister to recent smart Turffontein winner Minerva Fae, sired by Malmoos. “Minerva Fae beat a highly rated runner in good fashion and looks like she’ll go on. This filly looks promising too, buyers will like her.”
Lot 282 is named ‘Texas Smile’ and she’s by Buffalo Bill Cody out of Bethany, by Red Ray. Bethany’s first foal is two-year-old colt Let It Roll, who was just touched off in handicap after his Maiden win and is regarded as a feature prospect.
“Let it Roll is by Elusive Fort, who also produced his fast sibling Big Burn, so we’re looking forward to Texas Smile, who is by a speed sire. He is smaller than Let It Roll and looks a typically speedy sort.”
Lot 191 is a bay colt by Digital Age out of the Listed-placed mare, Southern Cape, who won five races. He’s a first foal, described as “a classic type who will probably take a bit of time, but physically a fine specimen.”
